2.4 Magnitude Earthquake Rattles Pennsylvania A 2.4 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Pennsylvania Friday, April 19. According to the USGS, the quake happened at 8 p.m. one kilometer northeast of Lincoln Park (Berks County). Residents of Catasauqua, Reading, Wernersville, and even one in Potomac, MD all reported feeling the earthquake. Meanwhile, in New Jersey, a 1.3 magnitude quake was reported at 7:50 a.m. 6 kilometers southeast of Califon, apparently an aftershock stemming from the 4.8 magnitude earthquake earlier this month.

Montco Woman Fatally Struck By Own Car, Coroner Says A Montgomery County woman has died after she was accidentally struck by her own car in Catasauqua on Sunday night, Feb. 4, according to officials.  Santosh Gupta-Bala, 64, of Blue Bell, was taking items from the trunk when her car began to roll backward, said the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. Police ID Skeletal Remains In Lehigh Valley As 'Kunkletown Killer' Police have identified the skeletal remains found by hunters in the Lehigh Valley as belonging to a convicted killer.  Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek said the bones were those of William S. Edelman, Jr., a 65-year-old who most recently lived in Catasauqua.  The remains were located just before 4:30 p.m. Monday in a secluded portion of the Appalachian Trail in Moore Township, the coroner said.  Edelman pleaded guilty to fatally shooting two men and wounding another in Monroe County in 1992, according to state court records.
