A child has been taken to a trauma center after being struck by a vehicle, Chambersburg police announced on Friday. The child "[accidentally] ran onto the roadway and was struck by a passing motorist," on Dec. 8, as written in the police release. Officers with the Chambersburg police department were called to a reported pedestrian accident in the 500 block of South Second Street at 8:44 a.m. According to Google Maps, the area is near Mike Waters Memorial Park and there are several crosswalks, but it is unclear if the child used one or was even coming from the park. …

A 20-year-old York County man has been identified after being struck by a vehicle in Lancaster County on Thursday night, authorities told Daily Voice the following morning. A woman died after she and a man were struck crossing a Harrisburg street on Thursday, Dec. 8, area police announced the following day. An 18-year-old man was struck by a car while crossing a street in Hanover, on Saturday, Oct. 22, authorities say. The victim was hit while "wearing dark clothing" and "not using a marked crosswalk," at 9:11 p.m. in the 1000 block of Carlisle Street, according to Hanover police. 2 PA State Troopers, Civilian Dead On I-95
Two Pennsylvania State Troopers and one civilian were struck and killed on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia overnight, authorities said. The crash occurred in the southbound lanes near Broad Street around 12:40 a.m. Monday, March 21, PSP said. Police were trying to get the man, who was walking on the highway, into their patrol car when they were struck, NBC10 reports. All three were thrown into the northbound lanes. A pedestrian has been hospitalized following a crash along US 11 in central Pennsylvania, according to the emergency dispatch services.The crash happened in the 300 block of East King Street of Shippensburg in Cumberland County on Thursday around 5:35 a.m., according to dispatchers. Beloved Lancaster Pediatrician Dies Days After Being Struck By Vehicle
A beloved Lancaster pediatrician died of injuries suffered last month when he was struck by a car, his colleagues said. Steven F. Killough was struck by a vehicle on Oct. 29, and died of traumatic brain injuries suffered in the downtown Lancaster crash on Nov. 12, Lancaster Online originally reported. His practice remembered him as a "great pediatrician and a loyal friend." A man born and raised in Lebanon has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash. John Givens Jr., 59, of the 700 block of Lehman Street, has been identified as the crash victim by the Lebanon County coroner. A pedestrian has been rescued but remains in critical condition after being trapped under a vehicle, according to Harrisburg Fire's Squad 8. A pedestrian was killed crossing Willow Street Pike in Lancaster County, say area police. Joshua J. Ober, 21 of Willow Street, was struck dead crossing Willow Street Pike South in Pequea Township around 2:15 a.m., according to the police.
