Robber Holds Knife To 13-Year-Old, PA State Police Say
A 13-year-old was held at knife-point, Pennsylvania State Police announced on June 9, 2023. The boy was accosted by a 15-year-old male on May 30 between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on West Jefferson Avenue, Myerstown, according to the state police. The older teen approached the boy and pressed a pocket knife against his stomach while demanding cash, PSP explained. Motorcyclist Critical In Manheim Route 72 Crash
A motorcyclist was in critical condition after a crash on Route 72 in Manheim Friday, Dec. 9, authorities said. The Myerstown man, 64, was going into the intersection after passing a stopped vehicle at a stop sign when another vehicle going across the intersection struck the motorcyclist, attempting a turn around 3:45 p.m. The Myerstown man was transported to the local hospital and was listed in stable but critical condition. An explosion at a commercial building caused a large fire that injured one person in Jackson Township early Wednesday morning, according to authorities. Fire crews including multiple tankers were called to the Lapp Carriage Shop at 372 King St., in Myerstown around 7 a.m., according to Emergency Dispatch Services. Authorities ID Man, 36, Killed In I-76, PA Turnpike Crash
The man who died in Monday morning’s fatal turnpike crash has been identified. A utility truck crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer on I-76 by mile marker 246.6 at 9:17 a.m. according to PA Turnpike officials. The utility truck driver died at the scene and a coroner was called, according to Emergency Dispatch Services.
