Motorcyclist Avoiding Squirrel Dies 10 Days After Central PA Crash: Police A motorcyclist who crashed while making "an evasive maneuver to avoid striking a squirrel" died at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023, police announced the following morning.  The Northern York County Regional Police Department was called to the crash involving 58-year-old Jeff Letcavage of Wellsville in the 600 block of Rohlers Church Road in Dover Township at 11:17 a.m. on May 6, 2023.  Following an investigation, police found that Letcavage made the mauver then "traveled off the roadway and struck a utility pole," as stated in the release. Woman, 25, Killed In Central PA Crash ID'd By Coroner A 25-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene of a crash on Thursday, Apr. 28, according to the coroner’s office. The motorcyclist was traveling west on Trindle Road when a car traveling east on Trindle Road pulled out in front of her, attempting to make a left turn onto 39th Street, according to the Cumberland County coroner’s office. Anthony Rota, of Boyertown, was heading west on Route 422 when he lost control and struck a guardrail around 8:30 a.m. in Exeter, according to police.
