CASE: Alleged NYC Gang Member Was Found Dead In Barrel Off I-95
State troopers are investigating the murder of a suspected New York City gangster more than 25 years ago. Jia Qiang Li, 27, was found murdered on Jan. 2, 1997, according to Pennsylvania State Police. The Chinese national's body was discovered in a plastic garbage can at the bottom of an embankment off Interstate 95 in Lower Makefield Township, investigators say. Troopers said his remains had been "intentionally mutilated to some degree after his death." Yardley Police Chief Shot, Suspect In Custody
A man who shot the Yardley Borough police chief Wednesday in Bucks County was apprehended, authorities said. Colin Petroziello, 24, opened fire on Chief Joe Kelly with a shotgun as he responded to a Yardley Commons apartment around 11:30 a.m., according to Lower Makefield Township Police Chief Ken Coluzzi and District Attorney Matt Weintraub. The chief was shot in his hand and part of his ear, police said at the scene. He was rushed to St. Mary's Trauma Center in stable condition, authorities said. Pennsylvania HS Senior Wins National Taco Bell Scholarship For $25K
A high school senior and Taco Bell employee in Cumberland County won the national Taco Bell scholarship contest, according to the company’s foundation’s website. Emma Seibert, of Enola works at the Taco Bell on Market Place Way and earlier this week she find out that she won the biggest scholarship her employer offers. Her $25,000 scholarship will help cover her tuition at John Hopkins University where she plans to study nursing.
