Name Released Of 29-Year-Old Man Killed By Police In Central PA A convicted felon has died following an officer-involved shooting in Lewistown, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.  Ridge Ryen Rhodes, 29 of Lewistown, is accused of firing "several shots" when local police responded to the area of the 100 block of West Fourth Street and fired back around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, according to the PSP Troop G release.  Rhodes "succumbed to injuries" after being shot by police. Ronald "RJ" Maichle, 17 of Gratz, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu east on Berry Road/PA Route 209 in Williams Township when he crossed over the center line and slammed into a 2021 Ford Escape, Pennsylvania State Police detailed in a release.
