Drunk Carlisle Man Who Struck Dead Woman In Crosswalk Turns Himself In, Police Say Over two months after Emily Compton was struck dead the man accused of hitting her has turned himself in, authorities announced on Thursday, Nov. 2. Douglas Lee Gibb, 64, of Carlisle turned himself over to authorities at Magisterial District Judge Birbeck's office on Oct. 30.  Emily C. Wife ID'd After Hunting Club Dismemberment In GA, Husband Arrested In PA Mindi Mebane Kassotis has been identified months after she was found dismembered at a hunting club in Georgia, and her husband has been arrested in Pennsylvania, authorities announced on Friday, May 12, 2023.  The 40-year-old was found strewn across three miles of the hunting club grounds in  Liberty and Mcintosh Counties on December 2, 2022, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation explained in the release.
