Death At 'Police Incident' In Central PA: State Police

A 'police incident' that started Sunday has resulted in a death, according to a release by the Pennsylvania state police.

The "incident" started Sunday evening in Cumberland County, and state police informed the public to avoid the 2200 block of Newville Road around 8 p.m., according to Trooper Megan Ammerman.

No additional information was available until Trooper Ammerman released the following message on Monday morning:

"Update: PSP cleared the scene early this morning. It is considered a death investigation at this time but it is still under investigation. When there is an update, PSP will release further information. There is no threat to the public."
