Rustic Tavern will be hosting a visit from America’s Best Restaurants on April 13, 2023.
Dishes at the Tavern will be highlighted, along with an extensive on-camera interview with owners Tom and Penny Petsinis about the restaurant’s special place in the community. "The episode will be aired extensively on social media channels at a later date," the company says.
Tom Petsinis grew up in the restaurant industry, and eventually wanted his own place. He bought “kind of a rough bar” and turned it into the successful Rustic Tavern that it is today, twenty years later. He still works the grill and does a lot of the prep work himself, while wife Penny runs the front of the house. The eatery has won many awards, including several Best of Cumberland County.
Popular menu items that may be featured on the episode include crab cakes, scallops, burgers (what Petsinis calls “general pub fare”) and aged beef, cut daily in-house. Petsinis says his daily specials “fly out the door”.
America’s Best Restaurants will be filming on Thursday April 13th from 9 a.m. to noon.
The restaurant was selected by a customer nomination.
Ahead of the filming the tavern is giving away two $25 gift cards.
