Philadelphia Firefighter Brian Conklin Dies After Decade Of Service Brian Conklin, a 10-year veteran of the Philadelphia Fire Department, died unexpectedly while off-duty on Tuesday, Sept. 26, said colleagues and loved ones.  Conklin most recently served at Ladder 4in the Southwest, PFD said in a statement.  We are deeply saddened at the loss of Firefighter Brian Conklin, who passed away while off-duty on Tuesday.
