Berks Authorities ID Pedestrian In Deadly Wyomissing Crash Authorities in Berks County have identified the 37-year-old pedestrian fatally struck by a car in Wyomissing late Wednesday night. Charles Cleaford, of Reading, was walking southbound on State Hill Road when an SUV traveling northbound hit him, WFMZ reports citing the Berks County Coroner's Office and Wyomissing police. The driver of the SUV is cooperating with the investigation. Belligerent Drunk Man Assaults Berks Hotel Employee, Police Say A man was arrested for drunkenly fighting with the employees and guests of a Berks County hotel over the weekend, authorities said. Officers arrived at the hotel around 10:30 p.m. Saturday and found Chris Petrovich, 35, already on the floor being subdued by another hotel guest, according to Wyomissing police. He was "highly intoxicated, yelling and initially resisted being handcuffed," police said. He reportedly grabbed the hotel employee and pushed her against a wall. Man Agrees To Sex With Officer Posing As Prostitute In Undercover Berks Sting, Police Say A 51-year-old man who agreed to have sex with an officer posing as a prostitute was arrested in an undercover sting, authorities in Berks County said. David Denithorne responded to an ad placed on sex websites and agreed to meet a prostitute-- who was actually an undercover officer -- at a motel for sex, Wyomissing police said. Denithorne was released at the scene on April 21. Prostitution-related charges were filed with District Court.

Federico Quiroz-Corona, 58, is accused of first attacking Antonio Hayden, 33, with a screwdriver and then hitting him on the head with a tire iron at the intersection of Berkshire Boulevard and Ridgewood Road on July 17, according to Wyomissing police. Police: Berks Driver Yelling Racial Slurs Arrested For Striking Woman, Almost Hitting Officers A Berks County driver is in police custody after he knocked a woman down, and almost struck officers over the weekend, authorities said.  Police responded to the 1100 block of Bern Road Saturday on reports of a man -- later identified as Jason S. Smith, 46,--  allegedly yelling racial slurs and refusing to leave the premises, according to Wyomissing police. Smith then fled the scene in a black convertible Mercedes Benz, police said.
