Lehigh Valley Dad Dies In Workplace Accident: Coroner A worker in Northampton County is dead following an on-the-job accident, authorities say.  Nicholas A. Varec, 36, of Emmaus, was on the clock at a worksite on the 4100 block of West Mountainview Drive in Lehigh Township on Wednesday, Jan. 4, said Coroner Daniel A. Buglio.  At around 12:20 p.m., Varec became pinned between "construction equipment and a trench box," the coroner continued. VA Man, 30, Killed In Crash On Route 512 In Northampton County A 30-year-old Virginia man was killed in a Monday morning crash on Route 512 in Northampton County, authorities confirmed. Reginald Wilson was driving on Route 512 north of Sterners Way in Hanover Township when he collided with another vehicle around 8:50 a.m., the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office said. Wilson, of Chesapeake, was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma to the head and neck at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Muhlenberg around 9:30 a.m., authorities said. The incident remains under investigation by the coroner's office and the Colonial Regional Police Department.
