The officer — a member of the Freemansburg Police Department — lost his family home following a fire in Plainfield Township around 8 a.m. on Sunday, June 12, the local volunteer fire company said. While the family and their pets were able to escape safely, the home was severely damaged and is uninhabitable, the department said.
