1 Dead In Crash Involving Tractor-Trailer On Route 222 One person died in a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a second vehicle on Route 222 Friday, Sept. 23, authorities said. The wreck happened in the southbound lanes near Burgert Lane in Maidencreek Township around 8:10 a.m., according to the Northern Berks Police Department. The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene by the Berks County Coroner's Office. He was identified as Christopher Lee Rankin, 28, WFMZ reports.
