Child Bicyclist Struck In Ephrata: Police A 9-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was struck by a vehicle on Sunday, police announced.  The boy was hit by an 83-year-old Akron driver's vehicle after around 7:40 a.m. on July 8, 2023, Ephrata police explained.  The crash happened at the intersection of South State and West Fulton streets in Ephrata Borough.  The boy had failed to stop at a red traffic light and was not wearing a bicycle helmet, according to the police.  The boy was transported to Penn Health-Lancaster General Hospital with "injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening" the police said. Missing Boy, 9, Found Dead In PA Pond The body of a 9-year-old boy who had gone missing was pulled from a Pennsylvania pond on Monday evening, June 19, officials said. Police arriving at the pond located at Vaux and Hickory drives in New Britain Borough saw a boy’s bicycle with a fishing pole next to it, around 5:50 p.m., the Central Bucks Regional Police Department said. A dive team from Point Pleasant Fire Department responded and found the young boy within minutes. He was taken to Doylestown Hospital where he was pronounced dead just after 7 p.m., police said. 9-Year-Old Boy Stabs 11-Year-Old To Death Over Toy, Pennsylvania State Police Say A 9-year-old boy mortally wounded an 11-year-old boy during a fight over a Nerf Gun, according to a release by Pennsylvania state police. The fight happened while the two boys were playing with the Nerf gun at a home in Randall Road in Ridgebury Township, Bradford County on Saturday around 10:30 p.m., according to the release. A "tug-a-war" over a toy gun ensued and the younger boy stabbed the older one in the chest with a knife, the release states.
