The family of the New Jersey Transit train operator killed by a fallen tree is planning to sue several organizations for negligence, an attorney said. Jessica Haley of Levittown, Pennsylvania, was identified as the person who died in the crash, according to a news release from the Anapol Weiss law firm on Thursday, Oct. 15. A 55-year-old Pennsylvania mom is out of the hospital after a bear attack in her own backyard, she told Daily Voice. Lee Ann Galante was letting her dog out of the backdoor of her home on Bellefield Drive, Butler Township at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, and unknown to her there were three cubs in a tree — that's when the mama bear attacked, as Daily Voice initially reported. A handful of football fans are suing the Washington Commanders over a railing collapse that injured them after a game against the Philadelphia Eagles in January 2021, as reported by various news outlets. A pickup truck lived up to its name when it rammed through the wall of an East Rutherford restaurant as the dawn of the new year approached. The Dodge Ram went straight through the wall facing the parking lot of Al Di La, a restaurant and banquet hall on Hoboken Road between Paterson Avenue and Enoch Street, around 2:30 a.m. Saturday. A West Chester lawyer and New Jersey native was sentenced to up to 23 years in prison for stealing money from his clients for incomplete work and using the identities of his ex-wife and former mother-in-law to open credit cards and take out loans, authorities announced. Three people were injured in a Chester County crash between a car and SEPTA bus early Wednesday morning, authorities said. Fire crews found a SEPTA bus severely dented on its front end, with the windows cracked, just before 6 a.m. at 291 Highland Ave., according to a Facebook post by the City of Chester Bureau of Fire.
