A horse was struck dead by a minivan in Salisbury Township on Thursday, Sep. 5, Pennsylvania State Police announced the following day. A Hanover man has died 20 days after he was injured in a crash involving a tractor-trailer, the York County Coroner announced on Friday, Aug. 23. Zachary "Zach" Jacob Orendorff, 41, died from a "Subdural and Subarachnoid Hemorrhage" due to the crash, Coroner Pam Gay wrote in the release. A 19-year-old man was killed in an ATV crash in Carbon County, authorities said. Bicyclist Struck In Lititz, Police Say
A bicyclist was struck in Lititz on Tuesday, Aug. 20, the police announced at 2:56 p.m. that day. The police were called to investigate the crash "involving a bicycle and a vehicle" around 11:21 a.m., as detailed in the release. They learned a "bicyclist turned left at the intersection into the path of a vehicle traveling westbound resulting in a collision," police wrote in the release. The crash happened at the intersection of East Sixth Street and Laurel Avenue in Lititz Borough. No injuries were reported. There was also no word of any charges filed.
