Child Bicyclist Struck In Ephrata: Police A 9-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was struck by a vehicle on Sunday, police announced.  The boy was hit by an 83-year-old Akron driver's vehicle after around 7:40 a.m. on July 8, 2023, Ephrata police explained.  The crash happened at the intersection of South State and West Fulton streets in Ephrata Borough.  The boy had failed to stop at a red traffic light and was not wearing a bicycle helmet, according to the police.  The boy was transported to Penn Health-Lancaster General Hospital with "injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening" the police said. Details Emerge In Bucks County 9-Year-Old's Death Authorities have released more information after a 9-year-old boy was found dead in a Bucks County pond early this week.  A dive team recovered the child's body from a small pond at Vaux and Hickory drives in New Britain Borough just before 6 p.m. on Monday, June 19, Daily Voice reported.  Now, the Bucks County Coroner's Office says the boy died by drowning and that the manner of death was accidental, following an autopsy conducted Wednesday, June 21.  "At this time, given that he is a minor, he is being identified by the initials JM Jr.," the coroner said. “O…

Missing Boy, 9, Found Dead In PA Pond The body of a 9-year-old boy who had gone missing was pulled from a Pennsylvania pond on Monday evening, June 19, officials said. Police arriving at the pond located at Vaux and Hickory drives in New Britain Borough saw a boy’s bicycle with a fishing pole next to it, around 5:50 p.m., the Central Bucks Regional Police Department said. A dive team from Point Pleasant Fire Department responded and found the young boy within minutes. He was taken to Doylestown Hospital where he was pronounced dead just after 7 p.m., police said. 9-Year-Old Boy Stabs 11-Year-Old To Death Over Toy, Pennsylvania State Police Say A 9-year-old boy mortally wounded an 11-year-old boy during a fight over a Nerf Gun, according to a release by Pennsylvania state police. The fight happened while the two boys were playing with the Nerf gun at a home in Randall Road in Ridgebury Township, Bradford County on Saturday around 10:30 p.m., according to the release. A "tug-a-war" over a toy gun ensued and the younger boy stabbed the older one in the chest with a knife, the release states.
