A Pennsylvania man who repeatedly snuck into a 13-year-old girl's bedroom to sexually assault her and threatened to kill her family if she told anyone has been sentenced, prosecutors announced on Monday, Sept. 21.
Brett Michael Bair, 38, of Coal Township, Northumberland County, was sentenced in Lancaster County Court after pleading guilty on Sept. 8 to sexually abusing the girl for two years while living in her Lancaster Township home, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office.
The abuse happened between September 2021 and September 2023, prosecutors said.

Wet weather is being blamed for a Pennsylvania Turnpike crash that injured a woman and four children after their van hydroplaned, went down an embankment, and struck a tree, authorities said.
The crash happened on Interstate 476 North at mile marker 44.4 in Milford Township, Bucks County, shortly after 8 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20, according to Pennsylvania State Police and responding firefighters.

The man killed in a head-on crash with a tractor-trailer on Route 30 has been identified, Pennsylvania State Police announced Saturday, Sept. 19.
Robert F. Stevens, 77, of Glen Rock, York County, died in the crash near 9823 Lincoln Way West in St. Thomas Township, Franklin County, at 4:50 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, according to state police in Chambersburg.
