Blaze Breaks Out At Nursing Home In Ardsley Firefighters raced to a nursing home in Westchester after a fire began in its attic.  The blaze broke out just before 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 20 at the Atria Woodlands assisted living facility at 1017 Saw Mill River Rd. (Route 9A) in Ardsley, according to the Ardsley Fire Department.  After arriving at the facility, firefighters soon learned that the blaze had sparked in the attic near a washer machine.  Soon after this, the blaze was put out. Car Bursts Into Flames, Shuts Down I-84 Stretch In Brewster A stretch of Interstate 84 in the Hudson Valley was temporarily closed to traffic after a car went up in flames on the shoulder.  The blaze happened in Putnam County on Saturday evening, Sept. 21, when a vehicle caught on fire on Interstate 84 West in Brewster, according to the village's fire department. 1 Killed After House Fire Breaks Out In Lake Carmel A resident was killed in a blaze at a Hudson Valley home that left two others hospitalized.  The fire happened in Putnam County on Sunday morning, Sept. 22, when a blaze broke out at a Lake Carmel residence at 16 Marion Way, according to the Carmel Fire Department.
