A Philadelphia is man charged with murder after police said he shot and killed an 18-year-old in a Roxborough apartment. Kione Gary, 23, is being held without bail, according to court records. Gary originally told authorities he was home with his girlfriend when her sisters and two men entered the 7901 Henry Ave. apartment and "approached him in a threatening manner." Cop Injured In Philadelphia Crash; Driver In Custody
A city police officer is injured and a driver is in custody after a car crash in Philadelphia early Thursday, Sept. 28, authorities say. It happened on the 5000 block of Kershaw Street in West Philly, around 2 a.m., the department told Daily Voice. The officer was taken to Roxborough Hospital where he is "expected to be treated and released," while the other driver was taken to Presbyterian Hospital in stable condition, they said. Two people are injured — one critically — after being shot on a Philadelphia street late on Sunday, June 25, city police told Daily Voice. It happened in Strawberry Mansion, on the 2700 block of North Dover Street, the department said. An 18-year-old man is accused of opening fire on an off-duty officer during a confrontation in Philadelphia last week. Nakeem Wilson of Philadelphia is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, and related counts, city police told Daily Voice.
