City police have released video footage of a suspect in Richard Butler's West Philadelphia murder. Butler, 88, was sitting in his parked Hyundai on the 100 block of North Dewey Street when he was shot multiple times in the chest, Daily Voice reported. A second arrest has been made in the murder of a Franklin Township man last December, authorities said. Daniel Matthews, 44, was arrested on Tuesday, March 12 in Philadelphia and charged with killing Artis Young and then taking his body back to Brooklyn, NY, Somerset County Prosecutor John McDonald said. Suspect Charged For 'Execution-Style' Murders In Fairmount Park: Philly PD
Authorities have charged 52-year-old Lamar Young with the double murder in Fairmount Park on Feb. 29, Philadelphia police say. Young is in police custody on two counts of murder, criminal conspiracy, firearms charges, and related offenses, PPD said in a release. Forty-nine-year-old Thurston Cooper and 38-year-old Krystina Chambers, both of Philadelphia, were found shot to death near 3800 Mount Pleasant Drive, police have said.
