Manheim Mennonite Dad Killed Driving Amish Boys, Friends Say A Mennonite dad was struck dead on Wednesday morning, Oct. 10, according to the Lancaster County Coroner's Office.  Eldon Kreider, 43, of Manheim was driving a pickup truck when he was struck by a sedan at the intersection of Hossler and Breneman roads in Rapho Township at 8:42 a.m., the coroner said.  The driver of the sedan "pulled out in front of him at the intersection," a family friend said. Crews were called to Route 283 near the exit to Cloverleaf Road around 12:30 p.m. One victim extricated from their vehicle and the other driver was rescued from a structure they drove into along the side of the highway. Both drivers are being treated at a local hospital and their status is unknown.
