9-Year-Old Found Strangled In Bristol Church, Tips Sought 62 Years Later Pennsylvania State Police investigators are seeking tips in a 9-year-old girl's cold case murder.  Carol Ann Dougherty was found dead inside St. Mark’s Roman Catholic Church in Bristol Borough on Oct. 22, 1962. She was strangled and had been sexually assaulted, according to troopers.  Police said Dougherty had stopped at the church while riding her bike to the library. Name Released Of 29-Year-Old Man Killed By Police In Central PA A convicted felon has died following an officer-involved shooting in Lewistown, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.  Ridge Ryen Rhodes, 29 of Lewistown, is accused of firing "several shots" when local police responded to the area of the 100 block of West Fourth Street and fired back around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, according to the PSP Troop G release.  Rhodes "succumbed to injuries" after being shot by police. Convicted Rapist Gives Fake Camp Hill Address To Comply With Meghan's Law, Police Say A 56-year-old convicted rapist from Pennsylvania is facing charges for reporting a fake address in order to comply with Meghan's Law, authorities said. David Pressler, a lifetime offender who was convicted of rape in May 1996, failed to provide a valid address to Pennsylvania State Police's Megan's Law Section, Camp Hill police said. Police were called to investigate the change of address on the 1800 block of Market Street on May 13, according to police. Pressler was subsequently charged with failure to provide accurate registration information.

Cold CASE: Man Shot Dead While Checking Flat Tire On Delaware Expressway Pennsylvania State Police are offering a $10,000 reward to anyone who can help them solve Naython Brown's murder.  Brown, a 33-year-old Philadelphia resident, was shot once in the head near Exit 4 on Interstate 95 on Oct. 18, 2019.  Troopers said he was traveling from Philadelphia to Chester when a rear tire on his Chevrolet Monte Carlo became deflated.
