Stephanie E. Smith, 32 of Lititz, passed away at home on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, according to her obituary.
She graduated from Bermudian Springs High School and Millersville University, before she became a beloved high school math teacher, as detailed in her obituary.

A 26-year-old mom called 911 for a smoking baseboard heat she believed could cause a fire, and ended up getting arrested and charged with child endangerment, Lititz Borough of Police Department officials announced on Monday, July 1.
Maricruz Alvarado-Blanco, the 20 block of Main Street in Lititz, called 911 "regarding a baseboard heater smoking and creating a fire hazard" at 10:46 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, according to the police release.

The Pennsylvania State Police are concerned an accused child rapist may have more victims.
Frank Breneman, 71 of Lititz, is accused of raping and sexually assaulting two children for 12 years beginning when they were 4 and 11 years old, PSP Troop J announced on Thursday, June 6.
He was arrested by the PSP Criminal Investigation Unit on charges of rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, statutory sexual assault, and indecent assault of a child on Wednesday, June 5, according to the release.

Warrants have been issued for the arrest of a 59-year-old Lancaster County woman accused of abusing a care-dependent victim of an assisted living facility she had been working at, police said.
Lori Van Ingen, of Mountville, became the center of an investigation on Jan. 3, when police learned that a care-dependent resident of an assisted living facility had come to the emergency room with bruising and swelling to her head, face, jaw, and ankle, around 9:55 p.m., Lititz police said.

PA Man Who Struck Amish Teen Dead Sentenced, 'Not Their Place To Judge' Community Says
A Lititz man who pleaded guilty to striking an Amish horse and buggy — killing an Amish teen — has been sentenced by an "English" judge but the local Amish community apparently feels differently about the tragedy.
Phillip Cornelius Sullivan, II, then 18 years old, driving a 2009 Lexus Sedan, struck a horse-drawn buggy, ejecting the driver, 18-year-old Andrew J. Stoltzfus of Honey Brook, before fleeing the scene, according to the police.
The whole incident happened along the 5700 block of Division Highway around 2:45 a.m. on July 5, 2021, as Daily Vice reported at the time.
