Five Hospitalized In Route 17 East Rutherford Crash
Five people were hospitalized in a crash on Route 17 on Tuesday morning, Nov. 19, police said. A Mercedes SUV was rear-ended by a Toyota Prius at Union Avenue in the northbound lanes of East Rutherford just after 6 a.m., East Rutherford Police Capt. Jeff Yannacone said. Holy Name EMS responded and transported five people to Hackensack Meridian Health University Medical Center. Nicks Towing responded and removed both vehicles from the roadway. Injuries were complaints of pain, neck and back as well as an individual with a leg and head laceration.
