NJ Business Owner Dies A Week After I-80 Motorcycle Crash In PA
A New Jersey business owner has died a week after his motorcycle collided with another vehicle on Interstate 80 in the Poconos, officials said.
Albert R. VanRiper III, 71, of Montville, was pronounced dead at 12:32 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.
VanRiper was riding a motorcycle when it crashed around 8:16 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, on I-80 near mile marker 305 in Stroudsburg, Monroe County, the coroner said.

Two people fell from the Sky Ride, a ski-lift-style ride, over the Seaside Heights boardwalk Monday, Aug. 31, authorities said.
At 8 p.m., firefighters responded to the boardwalk after two people fell, while one child remained on the ride, firefighters said. The two people who fell were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, firefighters said. Firefighters did not reveal their condition.

A 32-year-old New Jersey woman was killed after she was stabbed in Times Square Monday, Aug. 31, authorities said.
At 4:24 p.m., police responded to Times Square after Pamela Cisneros, a 49-year-old Queens woman, had stabbed Erin Piacenti, a Chester resident, and a 68-year-old man, the New York City Police Department said. The victims were transported to a nearby hospital where Piacenti was pronounced dead, the NYPD said. The other victim was in stable condition, police said.

A man tossed a bag from his SUV during a police chase before crashing into a residential porch and taking off on foot, Pennsylvania State Police said.
The chase began around 7:09 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 31, when members of the Pennsylvania State Police Troop H Incident Reaction Team attempted to stop a black Jeep SUV for several vehicle code violations at Radnor and Jefferson streets in Harrisburg, according to a release issued Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Hodo Inc. announced Monday, Aug. 31, that it is voluntarily recalling select lots of its 8-ounce Lightly Fried Chili Crisp Tofu because printing ink from the packaging may have migrated into the food.
