Suspicious Fire Kills Philly Man, 37: Police
A 37-year-old man was killed in a fire that was intentionally set in Southwest Philadelphia, authorities said. The victim's name had not been released. On Thursday, Aug. 29, at about 7:30 p.m., Philadelphia Police and Fire Department responded to a fire on the 5700 block of Harmer Street, in the 19th District. A 36-year-old Middletown man who was shot by police while fleeing a robbery scene has been charged with several offenses, authorities said. Christopher Rivera is charged with multiple counts of robbery, rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and sexual assault, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office. Harleysville Driver, 36, Killed In Bucks County Crash
A 36-year-old driver from Montgomery County was killed in a crash in Bucks County, authorities said. Robert Strohm, of Harleysville, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Wednesday, Aug. 28 at about 6:30 p.m., according to Hilltown police. The crash occurred at the intersection of Route 113 at Diamond Street. The second driver was transported by ambulance to Grand View Hospital with unspecified injuries, police said. Pottstown Man, 60, Dies From Burns Suffered In House Fire: Coroner
A 60-year-old man from Pottstown died of burns suffered in a house fire, authorities said. John Roddenberry was pronounced dead on Sunday, Aug. 18, at about 3:20 p.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, according to the Lehigh County Coroner. The cause of death was burns over more than 50 percent of his body, the coroner said. The fire occurred on Sunday, Aug. 18 at approximately 1:30 a.m. in the 15 Block of W. 3rd Street, Pottstown. In addition to the coroner's office, the Pottstown Borough Police Department and the Pottstown Fire Department are investigating.

The shooter has been identified in a road rage incident in which he shot 13 times into a car carrying a child, authorities announced on Tuesday morning, Aug. 13. Sean Moses, 30, of the 4400 block of Township Line Road in Drexel Hill, has been charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and related charges, Haverford Police Sgt.
