The invasion happened on the 6100 block of City Avenue at the Tower Apartments, around 7:20 p.m., police said. A black man in his 20s broke into an apartment, but was struck once in the head by a bullet fired by the homeowner and pronounced dead at 7:10 p.m., police said. Two firearms were recovered, authorities said.
