Car Thief, Fraudster Extradited To PA From NJ Jail, Cops Say An Easton woman is in the Northampton County jail for a car theft early this year, say Forks Township police.  Authorities said they were called about a stolen Hyundai Santa Fe at 5335 Kesslersville Road on Feb. 29. The victim, a New Jersey resident, also reported fraudulent transactions on a debit card that was left in the vehicle.  Police used surveillance footage from the businesses where the transactions occurred to identify Penny Bellomi as a suspect, authorities said.  A warrant for her arrest was issued in March on charges of theft, receiving stolen property, and…

Women Wanted For Car Break-Ins, Fraud In Northampton County: Police Two women are accused of burglarizing cars in Forks Township, police said in a release.  Investigators said the pictured suspects broke into two parked cars at 3601 Sullivan Trail during the early morning hours on Wednesday, March 6.  Police believe they took a purse containing credit cards and an ID, then tried to use them to cash a check at Embassy Bank in Allentown.  Anyone who can identify them is asked to call Officer Nelson of Forks Township Police at 610-252-0377 ext. 512 or email snelson@forkstownship.org.

Lehigh Valley Thief Stole Over $70K From Victim's Bank Account: Police A suspected fraudster is accused of siphoning nearly $75,000 from a Lehigh Valley resident's bank account, according to authorities.  Aaron J. Pflum is charged with forgery, theft by deception, and related counts, said Forks Township police.  Investigators believe 30-year-old Pflum walked into the Fidelity Bank at 1250 Braden Boulevard in September and used a phony ID to transfer $65,000 out of a victim's account. Police Seek Suspect In Northampton County iPhone Scam Involving Bogus FedEx Worker Police in Northampton County have issued a warning after several residents reported being targeted in a scam involving an iPhone delivery and a bogus FedEx worker. The scam begins when FedEx delivers an iPhone to a residence that did not order one, Forks Township police said on Facebook. A few minutes later, a man described as Hispanic and in his 20s comes to the door wearing clothing that resembles a FedEx uniform or a fluorescent vest, police said.
