Motorcyclist Runs Red Light, Dies In Crash On Long Island: Police
A motorcyclist was killed after crashing into a car at an intersection on Long Island early Friday, July 3, police said.
Kevin Zambrano, 25, of Shirley, was riding a Honda VT1 motorcycle eastbound on Middle Country Road in Centereach when he drove through a red light at Eastwood Boulevard and collided with a northbound 2021 Nissan Sentra that had the green light at approximately 12 a.m., Suffolk County Police said.
Zambrano was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.
