Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Child Under 16 Multiple Times In Bogota: Prosecutor A 19-year-old Bergen County man has been arrested on accusations he sexually assaulted a juvenile, authorities said. Juan Flores-Mejia sexually assaulted the child, who was under 16 years old, multiple times in Bogota, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Flores-Mejia was arrested following an investigation by the county prosecutor's office on Oct. 4 and charged with four counts of second-degree sexual assault and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child. Teen Among 2 Struck By Cars In Ridgewood 30 Minutes Apart: Police Two people including a 17-year-old boy were struck by vehicles in separate incidents minutes apart on Thursday morning, Oct. 10. The first incident involved the teen at 8:08 a.m., Ridgewood Police Capt. Glenn Ender said. He was riding an electric bicycle when he collided with a vehicle on Ackerman Avenue near Lenox. Minor injuries were reported and he was not hospitalized. Then, at 8:27 a.m., a 24-year-old woman was struck at N. Maple Avenue and E. Ridgewood Avenue. She was taken to The Valley Hospital in Paramus with minor injuries, Ender said.

Cat Rescued From Burning Home In Wood-Ridge Firefighters and police officers saved a cat from a burning home Wednesday evening, Oct. 9 in Bergen County. Responders made entry to the home at 198 Main Ave. in Wood-Ridge around 6 p.m., where they found the animal, sources tell Daily Voice Companies from Wood-Ridge, Lodi, Moonachie and Hasbrouck Heights responded.
