Covid-19: New Update On Number Of Fatalities, Cases By Town In Rockland County
The number of fatalities continues to rise in Rockland County from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
As of Tuesday, April 14, there are 2,934 confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to the Rockland Department of Health. The state, which uses cases by Zip codes, lists the number of cases in Rockland as 8,335.
In addition, there were 241 deaths reported in the county on Monday, and 263 on Tuesday.
Those hospitalized for confirmed COVID-19 numbered 213, and those hospitalized for suspected COVID-19 was 275.

The much-anticipated Pearl River St. Patrick's Day Parade, the second largest in the state that draws thousands of visitors, has been canceled due to the outbreak of the novel strain of the coronavirus.
Hosted for the past 58 years in Pearl River by the Rockland County Ancient Order of the Hibernians, the decision to cancel the parade, scheduled for Sunday, March 22, was not made lightly, the AOH, said in a statement.

Erratic Driving Stop Of Cadillac Escalade In Rockland Leads To Felony DWI Charge
The driver of an Escalade was allegedly drunk when he was busted driving erratically in the wrong direction in Rockland County, police said.
An Orangetown police officer on patrol spotted a 2016 Cadillac Escalade driving erratically at approximately 4:10 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19 on West Washington Avenue in Pearl River, police said. At the time, the officer saw him, the driver was also driving westbound in the eastbound lane.
