Police ID Man Killed In Late-Night Minivan Crash In Orange County
A Brooklyn man was killed late Tuesday night, Dec. 10 when his van veered off the road and struck an embankment in Monroe, authorities said. Ulugbek Yunussov, 62, was behind the wheel of a 2012 Chrysler van that left the roadway and struck an embankment on Larkin Drive around 11 p.m., NY State Police said. Yunussov was extricated from the vehicle as EMS began lifesaving measures. Yunussov was transported to Garnet Health Medical Center in serious condition but later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead, police said. The crash remains under investigation. A Stony Point man was charged with alleged disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after he threw a fit because he could not reach his home due to a holiday parade. Cameron Truesdale, age 41, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. by Stony Point Police while they were conducting traffic control for the parade. According to Lt. Bomb Threat Closes Hudson Valley High School: Police
Students and staff have been sent home for the day to allow police to investigate a bomb threat at a Hudson Valley high school. The Town of Poughkeepsie Police said Spackenkill High School in Poughkeepsie received the threat late Monday, Dec. 9d. The department said several other school districts in the region also received the threat. The threat is believed to be a hoax. A 34-year-old man is behind bars after being charged with aggravated cruelty to an animal at a Hudson Valley home. Rawle A. Reynolds, of Brooklyn, was arrested around 12 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 8, after the Village of Monticello Police responded to a 911 call for a man "violently abusing a dog" at the Horizons apartments on Harmony Lane.
