A man is facing charges after allegedly violating an order of protection while incarcerated for the second time in the span of a month, authorities said.
The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office reported that Brandon Mima, age 21, of Beacon, currently held at the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center, is accused of contacting two individuals protected by the order via telephone. He was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 20, and charged with:

A mother has been charged with allegedly violating a custody agreement after allegedly taking her son out of a Hudson Valley school.
Chana Elena Morales, age 32, of the Bronx, was arrested on Friday, Jan. 26 after taking the child from Maple Hill Elementary School in Orange County in the town of Wallkill.
According to Lt. Robert McLymore, of the town of Wallkill Police, officers responded to the school after officials said Morales had taken the child in violation of a custody and visitation order.

A Hudson Valley man has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to criminal contempt for attacking a former "intimate" partner while under a protective order.
Orange County resident Gregory Gonzalez, age 56, of Newburgh, was sentenced on Tuesday, Oct. 10 to two to four years in prison, the maximum permitted under the law.

A Hudson Valley man has pleaded guilty to stalking and criminal contempt on the first day a jury trial was set to begin.
Orange County resident Raymond Brown Jr., age 50, of Newburgh, pleaded guilty on Tuesday, Aug. 29, in Ulster County Court.
According to the Ulster County District Attorney's Office, the indictment charged Brown with repeated and numerous threatening text messages he sent to the victim, a former girlfriend.

Man Convicted For Murders Of Mother, Daughter In Hudson Valley
A Hudson Valley man has been convicted of murdering his ex-girlfriend and her mother.
A Rockland County jury found Robert C. Williams III, age 32, of Hillcrest, guilty on all charges, including first-degree murder Tuesday, April 19.
Prosecutors said Williams shot and killed Kathleen Castor, age 27, and Wanda Castor, age 63 at a home on Lake Road in Valley Cottage on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.
Kathleen Castor had an order of protection against Williams after their relationship ended, prosecutors said.
Her one-month-old baby was found alive and uninjured following the killings.

Rockland County resident Eric Tranholm, age 28, of Stony Point, was convicted by a jury on Wednesday, March 30.

An out-of-state man was nabbed for allegedly violating an order of protection in Northern Westchester.
Raphael Ayensu, 44, of Irvington, New Jersey, was arrested by Yorktown Police on Thursday, Jan. 7, after police responded to a call for the violation.
