Fatal House Fire Breaks Out On Long Island
A house fire on Long Island claimed one life. A 911 call reporting a blaze at a residence in Mattituck on the 4500 block of Middle Road in Mattituck on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 9:45 a.m. Multiple fire departments arrived, and while three individuals managed to escape unharmed, a body was later discovered inside. The Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the identity and cause of death for the victim. Here's Latest Timing For Complex Storm Packed With Strong Winds, Rain, Sleet, Areas Of Snow
A complex storm that will last for parts of three days will bring a mix of rain and sleet, with snow in some spots, along with windy conditions. A man was killed in a three-vehicle crash on the Long Island Expressway. The incident happened in the eastbound lanes near exit 68 in Manorville, at around 5:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18. Suffolk County Police said William Sarubbi, age 37, of Riverhead, was riding a Suzuki motorcycle when he collided with the back of a Ford pickup truck and was ejected from the bike. A house fire on Long Island left a dog dead. The blaze began at about 4 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17 on Seaman Road in Jericho. Responders arrived to find the home engulfed in flames from the second floor and heavy smoke throughout. All residents made it out safely, though the family’s dog was found dead inside. The Nassau County PD Arson Bomb Squad and the Nassau County Fire Marshal are investigating.
