Man Dies After Single-Vehicle Crash On Hudson Valley Roadway A 51-year-old man died after losing control of his motorcycle on a Hudson Valley roadway. The crash took place in Dutchess County around noon on Saturday, Aug. 13 in Stormville at the intersection of Route 216 and Phillips Road. The New York State Department of Transportation announced on Tuesday, Dec. 8 that an $11 million project to resurface a 7.7-mile stretch of the interstate between Dutchess and Putnam counties has been completed. He worked as an Engineer for Bayer Co., previously known as Technicon Co., in New York City. Upon retirement, Hans spent most of his time in his summer home in Stormville, NY. As an engineer, he was fascinated by technology and took great pride in his career and work. Family and friends knew Hans to be a hard worker and loyal person. He will be greatly missed. …

The crash happened just before dawn westbound in East Fishkill between Exit 58 (Ludingtonville Road) and Exit 52 (the Taconic State Parkway) on Wednesday, Oct. 30. The left lane reopened around 10 a.m. The right lane reopened at around 2:30 p.m. A detour had been established at the Stormville rest area. There were heavy delays in the area throughout the morning commute.

Westchester Native Ann Marie Beach Dies At 57 Ann Marie Beach, of Dutchess County, originally of Westchester, died Sunday, Aug. 11, at age 57. Beach who lived in Stormville was born in White Plains on Feb. 10, 1962. She met "the love of her life" William "Bill" Beach while attending high school and shortly after graduating, they married on June 28, 1980, said the obituary. They were married for 39 years and had two daughters, Tina Marie and Rose Mary.  Ann Marie Beach will be remembered most of all for the love and devotion she felt for her family and friends which included dogs, Cooper and Zoe, according to the obituary. …
