Man, 71, Killed In Mountain Bike Accident At State Park In Hudson Valley
A 71-year-old man was killed in a mountain bike accident at a state park in the Hudson Valley.
The incident occurred in Rockland County around 3:15 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, at Tallman Mountain State Park in Orangetown.
According to Trooper Steven Nevel with the New York State Police, a preliminary investigation revealed that Alido M. Pavan, of Tenafly, New Jersey, was riding his mountain bike at Tallman State Park when he lost control of his bike, causing him to hit the ground striking his head.

Police Investigating Drowning Deaths Of Man, Woman In Their 20s In Adirondacks
Authorities are investigating the drowning deaths of a young man and woman from the Capital District who were found in the southern Adirondacks.
The bodies of 24-year-old Kaydee Lyons, of Albany, and 28-year-old Matthew Banks, of Scotia, were found Friday, Aug. 19, in Tenant Creek in the Hamilton County town of Hope, State police said.
The deaths are still under investigation, but the drownings appear to be accidental, police said.
Lyons’ mother, Jennifer, confirmed her daughter’s death in a post on Facebook.

The death of a Connecticut high school hockey player after an on-ice collision has been ruled accidental.
The state's chief medical examiner announced on Monday, Jan. 10 that Teddy Balkind, a 10th-grader at St. Luke’s School in New Canaan, who died on Thursday, Jan. 6, during a game died from an "incised wound of the neck," and the incident was officially ruled as accidental.
Balkind, age 16, was killed around 5 p.m., during a junior varsity game at the Brunswick Upper School in Greenwich.

Woman Dies In Westchester House Fire
A Westchester woman has died from injuries following a fire at her apartment over the weekend.
The 52-year-old died on Monday, Nov. 29, from injuries incurred during the fire that took place on Richbell Road around 10:50 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27, in the Village of Mamaroneck.
When police and fire arrived on the scene, the fire had mainly been extinguished by Good Samaritans using fire extinguishers, said Village of Mamaroneck PD Lt. Mark Gatta.
Fire Department officials located the woman, the sole occupant, inside the apartment, Gatta said.
