BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- Bronxville Mayor Mary Marvin writes a column that is re-published by the Daily Voice. Last week an elementary school student was hit by a car on lower Masterton Road. Thankfully, the youngster sustained only minor bumps and bruises and the driver was not cited for any improper behavior. It was truly an accident. DANBURY, Conn. -- Arthur Murray of Danbury is hosting a 12-hour teach-a-thon to benefit the Women’s Center’s Elizabeth House on Friday, Jan. 15. FedEx Truck Catches Fire On I-95 In Westport
WESTPORT, Conn. -- A FedEx tractor trailer burst into flames on I-95 north near exit 18 in Westport early Thursday morning, according to the Westport Fire Department. The incident was reported shortly before 5:30 a.m. Thursday. The truck's rear tire exploded and the fire quickly extended to the trailer portion of the vehicle, fire officials said. The driver of the truck was notified of the fire by another truck operator via CB radio, said the Westport Fire Department.
