Tuckahoe High School Students Compete In School's Inaugural Olympic Games
TUCKAHOE, N.Y. -- Tuckahoe High School is holding its first Olympic Games on Friday, Jan. 29.
Students will be competing for the Tuckahoe Cup in nine events: basketball knockout, pizza box relay race, KanJam, spikeball, volleyball, tug-of-war, Tuckahoe's Got Talent, ping-pong, and free-throw contest.
Deadline for students to sign up is Monday, Jan. 25.
Darien Library Invites Seniors On Trip To Bruce Museum
DARIEN, Conn. -- Senior Moments, Darien Library’s monthly coffee and conversation program designed specifically for seniors, is taking a field trip to the Bruce Museum for a guided tour of their new exhibit, “And Still We Rise: Race, Culture, and Visual Conversations” on Tuesday, Jan. 26, from 2 to 3 p.m.
Using the powerful medium of story quilts, this exhibition narrates nearly four centuries of African-American history, from the first slave ships to the first African-American president and beyond. Through 40 quilts from artists of the Women of Color Quilters Network, the exhibition reveals…
