Ring In 2016 With Memory Jar At Field Library In Peekskill
PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Ring in the new year with blank pages by creating a memory jar at the Field Library in Peekskill on Friday, Jan. 15. Memories can be written on a blank piece of paper as they happen throughout the year and put in the jar to be viewed when reflecting on the past year. Bogota Police Warn Of Flooded Area
BOGOTA, N.J. -- Police are warning drivers to avoid the West Fort Lee Road extension, which is currently flooded. Some drivers have attempted to ignore barricades and were not successful in their attempts to cross the flooded road, police said. Barricades are set up on the Hackensack side of the Court Street Bridge and at River Road.

New Saddle Brook Fire Officials Take Office
SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- A new Saddle Brook fire chief and assistant chief were sworn in at an installation dinner on Sunday. Thomas Dickman was named the chief, and Christopher Sloma was selected as assistant chief. New firefighters and officers were also installed at the dinner. Outgoing Fire Chief Douglas Habermann received commendations for his two years of service. "Congratulations and thank you to all our volunteer firefighters for the outstanding service they provide to our community," Mayor Robert White said.
