1 Seriously Injured In Overnight Long Island Crash
One person suffered severe injuries in an overnight Long Island crash. It happened around 9:50 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, in Islip. A 54-year-old Bay Shore man was crossing Brentwood Road at the intersection of Colorado Avenue, when he was struck by a northbound 2018 Hyundai Elantra. The pedestrian was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore with serious injuries. The driver of the Elantra, a 53-year-old Brentwood man, was not injured. Motorist Killed After Being Ejected From Vehicle In Upstate Crash Involving Carle Place Driver
A person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. It happened just after 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20 in Ulster County in the town of Gardiner. A preliminary investigation by New York State Police revealed that a 2017 Ford operated by a 62-year-old Long Island resident Carle Place, was traveling east bound on State Route 44/55 and made a left turn onto State Route 299 traveling west. A man who was working on a pickup truck on a Long Island roadway was killed after being struck by a car. It happened around 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, in Blue Point. A man has died from injuries several days after a hit-and-run crash on Long Island. The victim was struck by a vehicle in Elmont at around 4:40 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13 while crossing Hempstead Turnpike at Elmont Road.
