Two winning Powerball tickets were sold at lucky lottery stores in the Hudson Valley.
According to the New York Lottery, the winning tickets for the Monday, Nov. 11 game were sold at Smokes 4 Less stores, only in different counties.
A big payout Powerplay ticket worth $150,000 was sold in Orange County at the Smokes 4 Less store on N. Plank Road in Newburgh.
Lottery officials said the other ticket, worth $50,000, was sold at the Smokes 4 Less store in Dutchess County, in Wappingers Falls.

A Hudson Valley woman was sentenced to 5 to 15 years in prison for stealing thousands from a man she was supposed to be a caregiver for.
Dutchess County resident Sabrina Aboshanab, age 33, of Wappingers Falls, was sentenced on Wednesday, Aug. 14, and ordered to pay $164,332.26 in restitution, said Dutchess County District Attorney Anthony Parisi.

Several people face charges after driving drunk in the Hudson Valley, including a woman who struck a sheriff deputy's vehicle, authorities said.
The arrests happened in Putnam County between Friday, April 5, and Sunday, April 7, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced on Monday, April 8.

Hudson Valley Man Sexually Abused Child Under 11, Police Say
A 54-year-old Hudson Valley man has been charged with allegedly sexually abusing a child under the age of 11.
Dutchess County resident Marc H. Santoro, of Wappingers Falls, was arrested on Wednesday, March 15 at his home, said Trooper AJ Hicks.
Santoro was arrested after state police received a tip of the abuse and a follow-up investigation found that he sexually abused a child, Hicks said.
Santoro was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail, $30,000 bond, or a $60,000 partially secure bond.
He is scheduled to reappear before the court on Monday, March 20.

Two ex-lovers are facing charges after attacking each other in a Hudson Valley incident that kept escalating in violence as it went on, police said.
The incident happened on Thursday, Jan. 26, around 11:50 p.m., when officers in Putnam County responded to a parking lot of a closed business in Philipstown on Route 9, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.

The crash took place in Sullivan County around 9 a.m., on Monday, Nov. 28 on Route 17B in White Lake.

A man who worked at Reader's Digest in Westchester County for decades has died at the age of 63.
Dutchess County resident Robert Riley-Brown, of Wappingers Falls, died at New York Presbyterian Milstein Heart Center on Saturday, Aug. 20, according to his obituary.
He was born in the Litchfield County town of Sharon, Connecticut.
According to his obituary, Riley-Brown worked as a supervisor at the Global Data Center at Reader's Digest in Pleasantville for 27 years, and he later worked at IBM in Poughkeepsie, his obituary said.

Elizabeth R. Adinaro, a resident of Dutchess and Ulster counties, in Hopewell Junction and Kingston, died on Sunday, May 22.
