Tappan Zee Bridge Toll Set To Increase: Here's When, How Much
Drivers crossing the new Tappan Zee Bridge will soon face a higher toll, according to the New York State Thruway Authority. The increase will go into effect on Wednesday, Jan. 1, with a 50-cent hike to the base NY E-ZPass toll rates and tolls-by-mail that began in 2024 and will continue each year through 2027, when it hits $7.75. The annual price increase means E-Z pass users will begin paying $6.75 on New Year's Day. Police are asking the public for help identifying an elderly woman who was found dead by a hiker near the Vanderbilt Mansion historical site in the Hudson Valley.
