Two children witnessed an Albany woman stab her husband to death at their home, authorities said Wednesday, Sept. 23.
Sabrina Balchand-Jackson, 34, was arraigned Wednesday on a top charge of second-degree murder for the death of her husband, 39-year-old Desmond Jackson, the Albany County District Attorney’s office said.
Balchand-Jackson attacked her husband with a knife around 3:45 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13 at their home on South Pearl Street and stabbed him in the abdomen, investigators said.

Jack D. Kennedy, 19, of Providence, was arrested Tuesday, Sept. 22 following the incident, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s office said.
Kennedy was driving in the vicinity of Clute Mills Road and Clannel Road in Providence when he threw an object from his truck at an oncoming vehicle, investigators said.

A 74-year-old woman was killed in a car crash in Albany on Tuesday, Sept. 22, police said.
The woman was a passenger in a vehicle traveling eastbound on Route 85 around 11 a.m. Tuesday, according to a preliminary investigation by the Albany Police Department.
The driver, a 76-year-old man, lost control while attempting to exit using the off ramp to Krumkill Road, police said. The car then left the road and rolled over onto Bender Avenue, cops said.
