Driver Busted Going Over 100 MPH On Westchester Highway Had Loaded Guns In Car, Police Say
Four men are facing weapons charges after State Police allegedly busted a speeding driver on a Westchester County highway.
Troopers first spotted the suspect’s vehicle at around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, as it drove through Yonkers on the Sprain Brook Parkway.
The BMW 440 was traveling in excess of 100 mph, according to police.
Troopers followed the vehicle to Tuckahoe Road and initiated a traffic stop, where they found two loaded handguns in the car, a .380 Ruger LCP and a 9mm Smith & Wesson SD9 VE, police said.

ID Released For Man Killed In Sprain Brook Parkway Crash In Westchester
A man killed in a fatal crash on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Westchester has been identified by state police.
It was one of two crashes that took place around 1 a.m., Monday, Dec. 28, in the town of Greenburgh, said Trooper AJ Hicks.
The cause of the collisions and the events leading up to the two separate crashes involving three vehicles is still under investigation.

Driver Who Caused Two-Vehicle Sprain Brook Crash Flees Scene, State Police Say
A driver who allegedly caused a two-vehicle crash on the Sprain Brook Highway, closing three lanes, fled the scene, state police said.
The crash took place around 2:05 a.m., Monday, Sept. 9, when one of the vehicles was allegedly cut-off by a Kia on the highway in Greenburgh, causing the vehicle to brake sharply and was then rear-ended, said Trooper AJ Hicks.
The Kia fled the scene. There were no serious injuries, Hicks said.
The highway reopened shortly after.
