Police are turning to the public in hopes of locating an alleged MS-13 gang member accused of taking part in the luring and stabbing of a teenager. In recognition of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, Suffolk County Police asked for tips in the search for Josue Zepeda Padilla, one of seven people indicted for the robbery, kidnapping and gang assault of a 15-year-old boy on Saturday, Jan. 6. Alert Issued For Missing Long Island Man
A 33-year-old Long Island man has gone missing and authorities are asking the public's help in locating him. The Suffolk County Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for a missing Brentwood man with schizoaffective disorder. Abimael Valenzuelawas seen at his residence at the Pilgrim Psychiatric Center, located at 998 Crooked Hill Road, in Brentwood on Saturday, May 15 at approximately 3:50 p.m., according to police. 19: Here's How Many Long Island Hospital Workers Have Been Vaccinated, Refused Shot
More than 50 percent of the hospital workers on Long Island who are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine have done so, though the region is lagging behind others across the state. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said that 60 percent of hospital workers on Long Island have received the COVID-19 vaccine, while statewide, a total of 60.8 percent of medical professionals have been vaccinated.
