ID Released For Motorist Killed After Jeep Crashes Into 7-Eleven On Long Island

The motorist killed after a Jeep crashed into a 7-Eleven on Long Island overnight has now been identified.

The crash happened around 2:25 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 in Brentwood.

The man, now identified as Brian McLaughlin, 33, of Bay Shore, was driving a 2016 Jeep Cherokee westbound on Express Drive North when he lost control of his vehicle, said police. 

The Jeep went airborne and struck 7-Eleven, located at 260 Motor Parkway. 

McLaughlin was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

The Jeep was impounded for a safety check.

The investigation is continuing and detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555, or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
