Rape: Hudson Valley Duo Charged In Pair Of Attacks
Two men from the region have been charged with the rape of two women at the same home.
The incidents took place in Ulster County on Saturday, July 15, at a home in the town of Shawangunk.
An investigation revealed that Ulster County resident Ronald Paul Dean, age 26, of the hamlet of Wallkill, sexually assaulted an individual at the home, said New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel.
At the same time, Lawrence James Wilson, age 27, also from the hamlet of Wallkill sexually assaulted a different person along with Dean while at the home, Nevel said.

Sullivan County resident Michael A. Hankins, age 29, of Woodridge, was killed on Tuesday, Jan. 11 in Shawangunk in Ulster County, said the New York State Police.

Area Man Arrested For Shooting Death, State Police Say
An area man has been arrested for allegedly shooting and killing another man.
Ulster County resident Walter D. Post Jr., age 26, of Shawangunk, was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 11, for the shooting death which took place around 5 a.m., said New York State Police.
According to Trooper Steven Nevel, the victim was found when troopers from the Ellenville barracks responded to Vinegar Hill Road in the town of Shawangunk for a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, troopers located the man dead outside of the residence, Nevel said.

An area man wanted for strangling another person reportedly called his victim, police said, threatening her with physical violence unless she dropped the charges against him.
Orange County resident Stephen Parisi of Wawayanda, 51, allegedly choked a victim in Shawangunk until she lost consciousness on Thursday, Aug. 12. After seeing a spike in new novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan is warning that the fight against the virus is far from over.
There were more than 45 new cases reported in Ulster County between Thursday, July 2, and Sunday, July 5, prompting Ryan to issue warning to his constituents that the fight isn’t over.

ID Released For Man, 34, Killed In Crash Involving Jeep, Two Public Works Pickup Trucks
The identity of a man killed in a three-vehicle crash on the Ulster/Orange county line has been released.
The crash happened around 9:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 4, on Albany Post Road (Route 9) in Shawangunk.
Two of the vehicles involved belonged to the Ulster County Public Works Department, Nevel said.
