Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade To Return 'Live' This Year
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade is returning to the streets of New York City for its 95th celebration after being curtailed last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Macy's made the announcement on Wednesday, Sept. 8, saying the parade will be delight crowds once again on Thursday, Nov. 25 beginning at 9 a.m.
This year's parade will feature the signature mix of giant character helium balloons, fantastic floats, marching bands, performance groups, celebrities, clowns, and the one-and-only Santa Claus, Macy's said.

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- At the risk of sounding like your spouse, consider this your reminder to make your Hudson Valley Restaurant Week (HRVS) reservations.
The two-week long event, a celebration of the bounty of the Hudson Valley, starts Monday, Oct. 30 and goes until Sunday, Nov. 12 and spots fill up fast.
More than 200 restaurants throughout Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, Orange, Ulster, and Sullivan participate, allowing chefs to flaunt their best fare. Special three-course menus are $22.95 for lunch and $32.95 for dinner and often focus on seasonal ingredients.

The sixth annual Patterson Rotary Blues & BBQ Festival, presented by ACME Markets, features some of the best in blues musicians from the Hudson Valley. There will also be lots of BBQ, wine, beer and a host of children’s activities, games, and crafts.

Joan Lunden's tale of survival will be heard firsthand in Armonk.
Lunden will be speaking at Congregation B'nai Yisrael in Armonk to talk about her new book, "Had I Known: A Memoir of Survival," on Friday, June 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
In June 2014, Lunden, who anchored "Good Morning America" for 17 years, was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, which required chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation. Lunden responded to her diagnosis with a mission to educate and inspire others about prevention, treatment, and survival.
